Technical Advisor - Infrastructure Finance

Main Purpose of the Job:  The Middle East Advisory team provides technical, project and programme management and commercial advisory services to developers, investors, funders, regulated asset owners and operators, local authorities, government departments and agencies in the regional infrastructure finance market. We are currently active in the social infrastructure, renewable energy, water, power generation and transportation sectors.   We are looking for an experienced practitioner with professional experience in infrastructure or the built environment advisory activity. The ideal candidate will not only act as a technical advisor to assist in the delivery of projects but also help to expand our services in the region.  Key Responsibilities/Duties:  * Support the delivery of technical, economic and commercial advisory services across various sectors in the infrastructure market, to include but not limited to providing PPP and other forms of project or transaction advice and feasibility studies. * Carry out analyses and assessments, and draft reports to a high-quality standard, with particular attention to structure, clarity of argument, grammar and presentation.Liaise with customers to ensure efficient and effective delivery of service and customer satisfaction. * Lead with customers in meetings and workshops to facilitate project discussions, present findings, assist participants in identifying project issues and priorities, and progress project solutions. * When acting as lead advisor and or project manager, ensure the commercial success of the commission and compliance with all company governance requirements. * When supporting, ensure that the lead advisor and or project manager is made aware of all developments on the commission that could influence the commercial and compliance outcomes. * Lead on preparation and conclusion of service propositions to customers, and ensure all commercial and legal negotiation points are concluded satisfactorily prior to commencement of services. * Support the planning and delivery of broader business development opportunities, and the management of long term key customer relationships to enhance sales and increase market share. * The ability and willingness to travel and work overseas for short periods of time may be necessary for this role. 
Requirements 
* A Bachelors and/or Master's degree or equivalent, or significant relevant work experience * Minimum 5 years experience in infrastructure or buildings advisory * Past experience as a technical advisor assisting in delivery * Experience in providing technical, economic and or commercial advisory services in infrastructure or the built environment for private, public sector and multilateral international finance institutions clients internationally * Experience of preparing feasibility studies to determine the preferred option for project procurement and delivery * A good understanding of the fundamentals of international PPP or Project Finance transactions particularly funding & financing; stakeholders; documentation; risk classification and transfer; revenue streams; and success factors * In depth knowledge of one or more infrastructure sectors that offers potential for growth and private sector investment, including but not limited to technical merits, policy and regulation, economic considerations, delivery and or supply chain * Experience in the assessment of risks and priorities associated with project development, investment or delivery, in the context of project feasibility and procurement; due diligence; assurance; or monitoring and evaluation * Competent in the delivery of detailed analysis in reports and presentations to customers

Engineer - Civil

Main Purpose of the Job:  The Engineer - Civil will play a vital role within the Design Review phase of a large diameter tunnelling project consisting of large underground structures and pumping stations.  Key Responsibilities/Duties:  * Execution of engineering and design works within budget and schedule; ensure the designs adherence to agreed specifications and regulations * Review and approval contractors' designs and drawings and other relevant documentation and correspondence * Provide engineering inputs and solutions during all phases of design development and project implementation * Play a supporting role in reviewing contractor's submissions that is shop drawings, materials, RFI, etc. * Participate in Client and Contractor facing technical and progress meetings * ensure design packages meet the relevant health, safety and environmental standards. * Provide technical support for the design on all civil and environmental work on the project, including utilities, water surface drainage and marine outfall * Solves problems by use of combinations of standard procedures, modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments * Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works * Assist in reviewing the project's close out documents * Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate * Participate in the technical reviews and progress review of projects 
Requirements 
* Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering from an accredited University to the approval of the Engineer. Engineer - Quality Control/Quality Assurance

Main Purpose of the Job: The primary function of the QA/QC Engineer is to ensure the quality of the project, from the beginning of the project to its completion.  Key Responsibilities/Duties:  * Review the Contractor Project Quality Assurance Program (PQAP). * Monitor the implementation of the approved PQAP. * Review the contractor submittals and to ensure that it is conforming to PQAP and to the contract requirements. * Monitor and ensure that all the project documents are filed and saved in relevant folders. * Coordinate with MM Engineers and ensure that all site inspection, testing and reporting is in line with the approved Inspection and Testing Plan. * Conduct regular site surveillance to ensure that the work is performed as per the latest approved drawings, method statement, materials and as per the project quality control procedure and to report the nonconformities to SRE.  * Prepare QA/QC reports. * Prepare for the internal and external audits and to ensure all the project procedures and documents are in line with Project/MM system requirements. * Follow up the clearance of audit NCRs * Check and review MM standard forms in the project and to ensure that all the staff is using latest version. * Monitor the project drawings and documents and to ensure that the old version of drawing and documents are replaced with the revised version and old versions are stamped as "superseded" * Monitor and ensure that all site staff are holding the latest approved drawing and/or documents. * Participate in preparation of the monthly report and the project periodic reports * To update progress construction charts presented in the MM site office in coordination of RE/Planning Specialist. * Report and document any accident and/or safety violations and notify SRE/HSE Engineer immediately. * Attend preconstruction meetings for all construction activities. * Attend MM site periodic meetings * Perform any duties assigned by the SRE/OPM in line with the project works.  * Understand implications of H&S regulations, Industry Standards and Government Regulation 
Requirements 
Bachelors Degree in Engineering from an accredited university * Minimum 15 years' experience post qualification in construction preferably in heavy civils and major drainage/sewerage network projects * Experience in quality control and quality assurance within the tunnelling, water retaining RC structures and surface water drainage domain * Apply particular emphasis on quality assurance specifications and statistical quality * Should be able to review and justify material submissions, analyse laboratory and technical reports, carrying out acceptance sampling plans, testing and quality measures, ensuring the compliance with the project's specifications * Ability to prepare accurate QA/QC plans and able to lead and motivate a project QC team, write clear, brief and accurate technical reports * Must demonstrate and prove experience in respect of the relevant international standards for quality assurance procedures * Willing and able to particulate in all aspects for the project life cycle, from setting out, designs, construction, testing and commissioning stage, with emphasis on data analysis, system testing, regressing testing and auditable documentation of results * Experience of writing and implementing Quality Management Systems for engineering programs * Able to manage QA implementation and assure full compliance with extensive QA/QC processes * Prior experience of work

Main Purpose of the Job:  Mott MacDonald is looking for a Senior Project Manager to manage all areas of construction management, supervision and project administration for an upcoming opportunity. An immediate start can be considered for the appropriate candidate.  The opportunity consists of a deep underground pumping station together with significant tunnelling works. Main Purpose of the Job:  A Site Architect is required to provide technical design support to the site supervision team and contractors.  Key Responsibilities/Duties:  * Review shop drawings and methods statements related to building works * Inspect all the contractor building work activities and to ensure that it is in compliance with the approved shop drawings, method statement and project specifications. * Coordinate with the client's engineers for inspection of on ongoing and completed building works. * Coordinate and check with the contractor engineer/foreman in charge of site works on daily basis on the proper execution of works. * Coordinate with Materials Engineer and arrange for sampling and testing of the satisfactory completed works.Coordinate with Surveyor to check the line and grade of the satisfactory completed works. * Maintains detailed records of work performed by the contractor and its deployed resources, on daily basis and to check it against the contractor daily report. * Report to the Resident Engineer (RE) any questionable method of operation by the contractor. * Report to the (RE) any failure of the contractor to provide good workmanship and conform to the approved drawings, method statement and project specifications. * Maintain records as per project procedures of works for contractor interim payments in coordination with MM RE and/or Quantity Surveyor. * Takes photos of ongoing site activities and file it in the project designated folder on daily basis. * Make special notes and documents as directed by (RE)/Contract Manager, on contractor activities that may lead to claims. * To prepare a detailed daily report on contractor work activities and to file it in the project designated folder. * To update progress construction charts presented in the MM site office in coordination of RE/Planning Specialist. * Report and document any accident and/or safety violations and notify RE/HSE Engineer immediately. * Attend preconstruction meetings for all construction activities.Attend MM site periodic meetings * Enforce in coordination with HSE Engineer performance of work in strict compliance with the approved Safety Plan. * Perform any duties assigned by the Chief RE/RE in line with the project works. 
Requirements
